Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of all AGLedger-operated online resources, including the public website at agledger.ai and agledger.io, the demonstration environment at demo.agledger.ai, public APIs, documentation portals, download mirrors, registry hosts (Docker Hub, Helm OCI, GitHub Releases), and any other service operated by AGLedger LLC (collectively, the “AGLedger Services”).
This AUP does not govern self-hosted Licensed Software running in Customer-controlled infrastructure; use of Licensed Software is governed by the applicable License Agreement.
By accessing or using the AGLedger Services, you agree to this AUP.
1. General principles
You shall use the AGLedger Services lawfully, for their intended purpose, and in a manner that does not harm AGLedger, other users, or third parties. The following sections list conduct that is prohibited. The list is representative, not exhaustive — AGLedger reserves the right to treat conduct not listed here as a violation if it materially impairs the safety, performance, security, or availability of the Services.
2. Prohibited conduct
2.1 Unlawful use
You shall not use the AGLedger Services:
(a) for any purpose prohibited by U.S. federal or state law, the laws of your jurisdiction, or applicable international law
(b) to violate export controls, sanctions, or trade restrictions (including those administered by OFAC, BIS, the EU, the UK, or the UN)
(c) to infringe the intellectual property rights of others
(d) to violate privacy laws, including unauthorized collection, monitoring, or disclosure of personal data
2.2 Security and integrity
You shall not:
(a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the AGLedger Services, other users’ accounts, or any system or network connected to the AGLedger Services
(b) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any AGLedger system, except under a written authorization from security@agledger.ai (see Section 6 — coordinated disclosure)
(c) circumvent authentication, rate limits, or access controls
(d) upload, transmit, or introduce malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, rootkits, or any code intended to harm or compromise systems
(e) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the AGLedger Services, including via denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
(f) falsify headers, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
2.3 Automated access and scraping
You shall not:
(a) use automated tools, bots, scrapers, crawlers, or headless browsers to access the AGLedger Services in a manner that (i) exceeds published rate limits, (ii) extracts content in bulk, or (iii) materially degrades performance for others
(b) harvest email addresses or contact information from the Services
(c) train machine-learning models on AGLedger content (including documentation, API references, and marketing content) without prior written consent, except that standard search-engine indexing is permitted
2.4 Demonstration environment (demo.agledger.ai)
The demo environment is provided for evaluation only. You shall not:
(a) enter personal data, regulated data, or production business data
(b) enter content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, obscene, or infringing
(c) rely on the demo for availability, retention, or data integrity — demo data is temporary and may be deleted without notice
(d) use the demo for production workloads, load testing, or benchmarking
(e) attempt to bypass the demo’s isolation, quotas, or reset cycles
2.5 Distribution channels (Docker Hub, Helm, GitHub Releases)
You shall not:
(a) re-publish AGLedger distribution artifacts under another name or in a way that obscures their origin
(b) modify and redistribute AGLedger-signed images, Helm charts, or release bundles
(c) use AGLedger registries for unrelated content
2.6 Content and conduct
You shall not use the AGLedger Services to:
(a) post or transmit unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, or obscene content
(b) send unsolicited commercial communications (“spam”) or conduct phishing
(c) impersonate any person, entity, or AGLedger employee
(d) engage in illegal gambling, money laundering, or other financial crimes
2.7 Unfair competitive use
You shall not use the AGLedger Services to:
(a) develop, train, or benchmark a product or service that competes with AGLedger, without prior written consent
(b) copy, reproduce, or republish AGLedger content for commercial purposes (other than in accordance with open-source licenses attached to specific code samples)
(c) publish performance or competitive comparisons of AGLedger products against third-party products without AGLedger’s prior written consent, beyond customary reviews of publicly available information
3. Intellectual property
All content on the AGLedger Services — including text, graphics, logos, images, documentation, and code samples — is the property of AGLedger LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. Code samples in the documentation may be used in accordance with the license terms noted alongside them. “AGLedger,” the AGLedger logo, “Agentic Ledger,” “Settlement Signal,” and “Agentic Operations and Accountability Protocol” (or “AOAP”) are trademarks of AGLedger LLC. Any use of these marks beyond nominative fair use requires prior written consent.
4. No liability; indemnification
The AGLedger Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. AGLedger’s total aggregate liability to any user arising from this AUP, the AGLedger Services, or any enforcement action taken under Section 5.2 shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. AGLedger is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or business opportunity. Any claim must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Your liability to AGLedger is not limited by this Section and is governed by the indemnification obligation below.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AGLedger LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any third-party claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: (a) your violation of this AUP; (b) your misuse of the AGLedger Services; (c) content you submit, post, or transmit through the Services; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of another.
5. Enforcement
5.1 Investigation
AGLedger may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and may access logs, configuration, and usage data for this purpose, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
5.2 Remedies
AGLedger may, without liability and without prior notice:
(a) remove or disable access to violating content
(b) rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access to the AGLedger Services
(c) terminate the applicable Software License Agreement, Support Terms, Beta Terms, or other agreement for material breach
(d) report the violation to law enforcement or competent authorities
(e) cooperate with third parties or regulators in investigations
5.3 No obligation to monitor
AGLedger has no obligation to monitor use of the AGLedger Services but may do so at its discretion.
6. Security research and coordinated disclosure
AGLedger welcomes good-faith security research. Researchers who discover a vulnerability in an AGLedger Service should:
(a) report it privately to security@agledger.ai
(b) not exploit the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to demonstrate it
(c) not access, modify, or exfiltrate data other than minimal proof-of-concept evidence
(d) refrain from public disclosure until AGLedger has had a reasonable opportunity to remediate
Good-faith research conducted in compliance with this Section 6 does not violate Section 2.2(b).
7. Reporting violations
To report a suspected violation of this AUP:

AGLedger will acknowledge reports within a reasonable time and investigate as appropriate.
8. Changes
AGLedger may update this AUP by posting the revised version with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on agledger.ai. Your continued use of the AGLedger Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
